ANNOUNCEMENTS

Fairbanks High School Announcements

Wednesday, August 19, 2026

Complete Annual Registration Forms: Online registration forms are required to be updated annually, prior to the start of each school year. Please see the daily emailed announcements for instructions.

Please follow the steps below to complete “Annual Registration” forms for each student:

  • Login to your PowerSchool parent account

  • Select “Forms”

  • Complete all “Annual Registration” forms for each student

  • If you are using a computer, “Forms” will be in the menu on the left hand side of your screen.

  • If you are using a mobile device, select “More” at the bottom right of your screen, then select “Forms”.

PowerSchool is the District’s SIS (Student Information System), which is used by parents and guardians to complete registration forms, view grades, report cards and attendance. It is important for parents and guardians to keep their information up to date in PowerSchool.

Schedule Changes: Students, you have 10 days to request a schedule change. Please note that you may only change your schedule one time. Be sure to complete the schedule change form with all changes, along with parent signature and turn in to the office. You will need to follow your current schedule until you have been informed by the office that your schedule has been changed.

Seniors: Seniors! Friday August 21st will be our senior sunrise! Please plan to join us at 6:30 am at the football stadium. Help us make our senior sunrise extra special! We’re asking everyone to bring a breakfast food or drink to share. Donuts, muffins, fruit, orange juice, coffee, pastries — anything you’d enjoy at breakfast!

Picture Day: Picture day for all staff and students will be on Tuesday September 1st beginning at 7:45 am. Make-up/Retakes will be on Wednesday October 7th beginning at 12:30 pm.

Parking Passes: Students who drive to school are required to purchase a parking permit. The cost of the permit is $10. Vehicles parked on campus without a parking pass displayed and/or cars parked in staff/visitor parking spots will be towed at the owner’s expense. Parking spots are limited and are available on a first come first serve basis. Students must have a valid driver’s license to purchase a permit. Applications can be picked up in the office or accessed online.

Senior Vaccine: Reminder, seniors are required to have 2 doses of the meningitis vaccine prior to the entry to the school year. Per state law, a student without this immunization will be excluded from school within 14 days of the start of their 12th grade year unless the school has an exemption on file.

Student Council: The first student council meeting will be on Wednesday Sept. 2 at 7:15 am in the HS cafeteria.
