Fairbanks High School Announcements

NHS Candidates: 10th, 11th, and 12th graders who have earned a weighted cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher are candidates for selection into the National Honor Society. Students can complete the information packet emailed in the announcements or pick up a paper copy from Dr. Smeenk. Complete packets must be returned by February 10th to Dr. Smeenk. Digital link to packet. 

Winter Dance: There will be a winter dance this Saturday February 7th in the HS gym from 7pm - 10 pm. Cost is $10 at the door or through Home Town Ticketing. Discount tickets for $7  during lunch this week. Just a reminder,  that if you are bringing someone other than a FHS student, you must complete a Guest form and return to the office by Friday February 6th.

Panther Market: Hey Panthers!  Reminder to all students that Panther Market is open and accepting orders!  If you are in need of any food or personal care items, please see the emailed announcements for the link or scan the code to order.  Please stop in the market or see Mrs. April during coffee shop to learn more.

Ski Club: Ski Club will make up their missed day on February 18th.

Student Council: Winter dance and Prom is coming up! The Student Council is collecting gently used outfits through a new campaign, ReWear the Night. Because a good dress deserves another dance! Donations can be dropped off at the high school office. 

Club Pictures: HR imaging will be here on Wednesday February 4th to take club pictures beginning at 9 am

FCCLA: FCCLA members! We will have our next meeting this Friday, Feb. 6th at 7:20 am. Make plans to attend, as we will be recognizing our members of the month, planning ahead for kindness week, and learning how we can support a teens and safe driving project. 

FFA Strawberry Sale: The Fairbanks FFA Annual Strawberry Sale is underway through February 18th. If interested please see either Mr. Nicol or any FFA member to purchase. Full Flats (8 quarts) are $25 each, Half Flats (4 Quarts) are $15 each  keagannicol@fairbankspanthers.org

Kindergarten Round-Up: Registration for Kindergarten Round-Up is now open. Please use this link to RSVP 2026 Kindergarten Round-UP RSVP. Please note that there has been a change with the age requirement, all kids need to be 5 before the first day of kindergarten rather than by the old 8/1 cutoff.

Panther Market: Did you hear? Panther Market is officially open!  If you would like to place an order, please see the QR code posted around the school or stop by the market during open hours in the morning from 7:45-7:55 am.
