Fairbanks High School Announcements

Track & Field: Hey Panthers! The Track & Field season begins in just 5-weeks. The Athletic Department is busy making plans and hope you will consider joining the team!  If you are considering/planning to join the team, please fill out the Google Form linked in the emailed announcements. 2026 HS Track & Field Interest Survey


NHS Candidates: 10th, 11th, and 12th graders who have earned a weighted cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher are candidates for selection into the National Honor Society. Students can complete the information packet emailed in the announcements or pick up a paper copy from Dr. Smeenk. Complete packets must be returned by February 10th to Dr. Smeenk. Digital link to packet. 


Attention SENIORS:  Seniors, the time has come to place your order for your Fairbanks High School Senior Shirt.  This shirt will have the signatures of you and your classmates on the back.  The online store  will be open from January 12- January 23.  

This is a hard deadline. You may choose to ship home or in store pick up.  In store pick up will be delivered to the school and you can pick up from Mrs. Holbrook.  If you have any questions, please reach out to Mrs. Holbrook at jholbrook@fairbankspanthers.org or stop in. If you have not signed the senior shirt, stop in to see Mrs. Holbrook or Mrs. Wygle in the HS office. 


Jr/Sr Girls: RAD,  an internationally recognized WOMEN-ONLY self defense course teaching realistic self-defense tactics and techniques to give women the tools needed to prevent or escape harmful situations will be offered to any junior or senior girl. For information on classes, see Deputy Jim Mitchell. Sign-up and permission slips are available  in the high school office. Permission slips will need to be turned in by today. Classes are January 22nd & 23rd from 7:50 am to 2:30 pm held here at FHS. Limited space available, be sure to register today.


Winter Dance: There will be a winter dance on Saturday February 7th in the HS gym from 7pm - 10 pm. Cost is $10 at the door or through Home Town Ticketing.


Health Care Summit: Any student who is interested in the HealthCare field, there is an opportunity to get more information on different careers at the Central Ohio HealthCare Summit on April 29th & 30th. You will get information on fields such as Nursing, Medical Assistant, Imaging, Medical Lab Tech, Respiratory Therapist and Surgical Technician. This summit will take place at the Ohio State Fairgrounds and is open to any Fairbanks High School student. If you are interested, please email or talk to Mr. P. Cotter to reserve your spot by Wednesday, January 21st. 


FCCLA Members: We have our next meeting this Friday, January 23rd at 7:20 am. Please make plans to attend!

Dine to Donate at Texas Roadhouse!  Join us on Sunday, January 25th, from open to close, for a delicious way to support LifeWise Fairbanks! Dine in or order carry-out, and a portion of your bill will be donated directly to our program-just mention us at checkout.  Enjoy a great meal while making a difference—dining with a purpose!

Pepperoni Rollers Sale: The annual Fairbanks Cheerleading Pepperoni Rollers sale has begun! These rollers are baked FRESH in New Philadelphia, Ohio and delivered to Fairbanks the SAME DAY! Kindergarten Round-Up: Registration for Kindergarten Round-Up is now open. Please use this link to RSVP 2026 Kindergarten Round-UP RSVP. Please note that there has been a change with the age requirement, all kids need to be 5 before the first day of kindergarten rather than by the old 8/1 cutoff.


Panther Market: Did you hear? Panther Market is officially open!  If you would like to place an order, please see the QR code posted around the school or stop by the market during open hours in the morning from 7:45-7:55 am.
